domain glossary

A domain glossary is a repository’s own glossary: one shard per term under docs/glossary/, with the term as the shard’s # heading. It holds acronyms and product vocabulary, plus a disambiguation entry where legacy systems use one term for different concepts. A project that migrates existing docs or onboards to Merlon Docs starts its glossary before its large feature shards. Its inclusion bar, recorded in the glossary index, says which terms to add and whose understanding counts: the client persona, contributors or both.

Glossary obligation says who sets the inclusion bar and when a workflow adds an entry. Shared glossary says how guides stitch the terms and when a large glossary uses sub-index files.
